Dr Thomas Burke

Dr Tom Burke is the Chairman of the Business Advisory Board of Regent's Park Healthcare.
He has been a Non-Executive Director of Regent’s Park since it was founded in 2002.
He is currently an operating partner at SCF Ventures and previously held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Valaris - one of the world’s largest offshore drilling companys’ with a market value of circa $12 billion traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Dr Burke has worked in management consultancy for McKinsey & Co., and in operations & investor relations at Schlumberger NV. He has also served as President & Chief Executive Officer at LeTourneau Technologies.
Before moving into industry, Dr Burke served in the British Army with the Parachute Regiment and Special Air Service.
Dr Burke holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar). A Baker Scholar is the highest distinction of MBA awarded to only the top 5% of the graduating class. Dr Burke holds a PhD in robotic engineering from Trinity College, University of Oxford.
