LONDON, United Kingdom, 10 February, 2014: Regent’s Park Cardiovascular Solutions Ltd. (Regent’s Park), an independent healthcare company specialising in the provision of cardiology services to the NHS, today announced it has won a contract to provide managed cardiology services to the Wolverhampton Heart & Lung Centre, part of the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
Mr. Bryn Webber, Cardiac Services Director of Regent’s Park said: “We are very pleased to have won this tender which was advertised, much like all our competitions in the Official Journal of the European Union.” He said: “The Heart & Lung Centre is undergoing a large refurbishment program of its cath labs and required interim facilities to maintain patient access and service levels. The Trust were therefore looking for a partner with the track record of providing high quality managed invasive cardiology services seamlessly and efficiently.” He added: “We will be providing the Heart & Lung Centre with one of our brand new modular cath labs and a full compliment of staff capable of delivering interventional cardiology, pacemaker and device implantation services.”
Dr. Ohri, Chief Executive of Regent’s Park said: “This is terrific news for our company as it is the first time we have won a contract in the Midlands.” He commented: “We are investing in a fleet of ten, brand new 21st century modular cath labs and this award is therefore perfectly aligned with our strategy of helping NHS hospitals meet both their interim needs, as well as assisting with their expansion into new service areas such as cardiac electrophysiology, defibrillator insertions and transcatheter aortic valve implantation.” He added: “We all look forward to the privilege of working with the cardiologists and staff at the United Kingdom’s first purpose built specialist heart centre.”
