LONDON, United Kingdom, 14 July, 2011: Regent’s Park Heart Clinics Ltd. (Regent’s Park), an independent healthcare company specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, today announced that its Chief Executive, Dr. Ohri, has been invited to speak at the 2011 Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship conference at the London Business School.
This one-day meeting is designed to stimulate peer-to-peer discussion between senior executives within the healthcare provider system, to explore the range of innovations that can be made in healthcare delivery and to learn from those who have successfully led these changes.
The keynote speaker this year is Dr. Martin Harris, Chief Information Officer, Cleveland Clinic, USA
Below is an excerpt of the background to the meeting: “This meeting comes at a time when the healthcare system is facing huge funding challenges. innovation in delivery will be a major component in reducing costs and improving outcomes. However, the challenges are immense for healthcare leaders who must identify, prioritise and drive these innovations. Innovation in delivery is more complex than product innovation precisely because it requires change from within with all the concomitant technical, political and cultural challenges. The symposium focuses on the role of healthcare leaders in stimulating and implementing innovation in delivery within and across their organisations. We introduce a framework for identifying such innovations based on new research at London Business School. We also invite leading healthcare leaders and academics (from the Europe and the US) to discuss their own thoughts and experiences of introducing innovation in delivery.”
The conference is to be held on Friday 15 July 2011 at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, 27 Sussex Place, Regent’s Park, London, NW1 4RG
